OUR COMMITMMENTWITH TRANSPARENCY

Where doyou come from?

FERO arises from the concern of our founder, the oncologist Josep Baselga. A world leader in oncology, advocate for translational research, and promoter of the idea that the only path to curing cancer is through research.

In his discourse, he conveyed the idea that in the next decade, we would find the cure for cancer and spoke about the importance of collaboration to achieve it. For this reason, FERO aims to involve the entire society in the cause and support cancer researchers in Spain. Today, his words inspire a large scientific community and are an unequivocal hope for patients.

If 20 years ago only 30% of diagnosed patients survived the disease, and today we are able to cure nearly 65% of tumours, it is thanks to believing in research.

Where are we heading?

In Spain, funding for cancer research is scarce. Therefore, we want to involve the entire society in this task, which belongs to everyone, and provide the Spanish scientific community with the necessary resources to reach the end of cancer as soon as possible.
